The story about the olive tree dates back to the Romans era. For this region is very important , and speaks about love, toil, sweat and blistered hands of the people of this region. The ancient Romans began in this area with the cultivation of olive trees. Near the coast are the oldest olive trees in the region, around the remains of the"rustic villa". In the last century in Duba operated four mills and Duba field was numbered approximately 18000 olive trees. Of course, that time and a way of processing olives in old mills are far behind us. Now is the modern way of processing. Because native species of olives called "oblica", that prevails in the region of peninsula Pelješac, quality, taste and smell of olive oil are really superb.
